Prestwold Hall Al Fresco Wedding Inspiration With a Hint of Italian Glamour

A romantic al fresco wedding with a hint of Italian glamour. The editorial inspired by Prestwold Hall’s Italian architecture encompasses the finest Italian fabrics, a bold Mediterranean cake design and of course an Aperol Spritz bar. The subtleties of this shoot are seamlessly tied together with stunning floral installations by Italian florist Hiden Floral Design.

Prestwold Hall is a Grade 1 listed stately home in the heart of the Leicestershire Wolds. Designed in 1843 in the style of a classical Italian villa and set amongst acres of rolling English countryside, Prestwold Hall boasts an exceptional outdoor wedding space. The editorial piece was designed to combine the beauty of Italian weddings with the English countryside.

THE FLORAL DESIGN

For gorgeous floral installations there was no other choice than Italian floral designer Marco, founder of Hiden Floral Design. The ceremony and wedding breakfast used a total of 900 blooms all inspired by the colours found in Tuscan villa gardens. The 20-meter aisle and luxurious 10-meter suspended table decoration created an unforgettable focal point for both settings. Proudly uniting his Italian style with sustainably grown British blooms.

THE FASHION

The bride wore an asymmetric silhouette designed by Suzanne Neville, found in the bridal boutique Frances Day Bridal. The ‘Petunia’ dress encompasses the finest Italian fabric with the most tactile beaded tulle appliqué on the bodice. The look completed with statement updo by Joanna Ace Style and soft glam make up by Sidonie Makeup Artist. The groom wore a tailored pink suit from Suit Direct UK and open shirt for a relaxed summer feel and bold style.

THE DETAILS

The exotic flowers and plants found in the orangery at Prestwold Hall framed a vibrant balloon installation from Adorn Events Co, and an Aperol Spritz bar for a true Italian finish. The bold four tier cake by The Whimsical Cakery features Mediterranean tiles and wild sugar flowers. The bright colour palette of grapefruit, blush pink and aqua were incorporated into the silk ribbons that draped from the base tier, giving a true festa feel to the design!
