Modern Blush & Antique Gold Inspiration

The team at Prestwold Hall had the pleasure of working with B.LOVED last year to create a contemporary yet classic blush and gold styled editorial. Founder Louise Beukes drew her inspiration from the grand interiors of the house creating a beautiful concept which was photographed by B.LOVED Editor The Nobles Photography.

So for any couples planning a classic English wedding with a contemporary twist, let this romantic shoot inspire you!

One of the unique things about Prestwold Hall is that each room boasts its own individual character. One room in particular that our couples fall in love with, is the light filled Drawing Room, where we typically host our wedding breakfasts. The muted blush and ivory palette, with pops of antique golds complimented the room perfectly whilst keeping the look totally on trend. Bo Boutique used classic English flowers to create an elegant and modern statement, perfectly reflected with the petal detailing on the gown from Luella’s Bridal and cake designed by Monannie.

WHAT WAS THE COLOUR PALETTE?

The colour palette celebrated all the glorious shades of blush… We are seeing the trend for soft blush pinks continue across all seasons as it’s subtle yet stylish. “The colour palette here takes the lead from the elegant décor of the Drawing Room at Prestwold Hall, with its buttery yellow walls and blush pink curtains,” says Louise. “To bring this classic look up to date, I played with colour and texture, including pops of contemporary mustard.”

TELL US ABOUT THE OVERALL DESIGN & DÉCOR

“On the table the tea-stained roses are paired with classic English garden florals in an asymmetrical arrangement. The mustard, blush and rust shades are complemented by coloured glassware and linens, along with minimalist bespoke stationery and stunning ice chairs. Then splashes of mustard yellow silk ribbon, on the bouquet and in the groom’s bowtie, pull the whole look together.”

ANY ADVICE FOR RECREATING THIS LOOK?

Using shades of luscious blush will complement the elegant neutral palette at Prestwold Hall. Louise’s top tip is to add unique “pops of colour and texture to create your own take on beautiful look”.
