Who doesn’t love a summer wedding? The promise of sunshine and warmer evenings is a serious pull for couples looking to book their big day, and we can’t blame them. Prestwold Hall is a showstopper of a venue all year round, and quite honestly dazzles in summer. We joined up with an incredible team of wedding suppliers and talent to create a stylish, romantic summer wedding styled shoot packed with big day inspiration. The result? Why we love summer weddings at Prestwold Hall
As one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Leicestershire, Prestwold Hall really has it all. From the elegant period architecture right down to the sumptuous antique details inside, Prestwold is the ultimate in sophistication. And in summer it really shines.
Despite its rich heritage, Prestwold isn’t a stuffy stately home. The large floor to ceiling windows floods our exclusive use country house with light, giving your ceremony and reception a real feeling of bringing the outside in.
Surrounded by 2,500 acres of rolling parkland and picture-perfect gardens, Prestwold comes alive in summer. Channelling a classic English country garden feel, seasonal flowers bring colour and an added touch of romance to your wedding photos. Our beautiful Georgian gazebo also provides a sophisticated setting for an outdoor ceremony, and we have plenty of intimate and secluded spots around the grounds for a celebrant-led service.
Romantic summer wedding style
You can’t go wrong with classic green and white for a summer wedding. The tone for the day was set from the very start with beautiful wedding stationery by Ps weddings. Here, the softest of sage green is paired with bright white and golden detailing. Torn edges add a touch of rustic elegance, while the script font and wax seals bring a sense of occasion.
Our creative team, headed up by Sage and Belle Styling, showed Prestwold Hall off to perfection, with both and indoor and outdoor wedding breakfast set up. Alfresco dining is an option for smaller, intimate summer weddings at Prestwold Hall, and here the table is set in front of the Orangery to make the most of our magnificent countryside views. A eucalyptus table runner, along with some tall clear vases and floating candles are all that’s needed to dress the table to match their breathtaking surroundings.
Inside, Prestwold Hall’s Drawing Room – which has room for up to 140 guests for dining and 200 for your evening reception – is dressed with dramatic white and green floral centrepieces by florists Lilac & Wild. The pared-back white and green colour scheme is carried through, with the palest of green candlesticks and napkins, sparkling glassware and crisp white tablecloths.

As well as Prestwold Hall’s gardens being in full bloom, summer weddings offer a wealth of choice when it comes to bouquets and floral displays. Here, our bride’s bouquet is packed with volume and texture for a whimsical, romantic feel. Lush green foliage, white roses, white hydrangeas and more are all tied up with lengths of sage green and white ribbon. The groom wears a matching buttonhole to bring the look together perfectly.

We adore this knockout wedding dress by Hayley Paige at Lavelle Bridal Couture. The intricately embroidered and embellished plunge neck gown comes with a detachable cascading tulle skirt – perfect for brides after a day to night look. A luxurious handmade veil by Rachel Sokhal Bridal really brings the ceremony style together. A black tux and bow tie are all that’s needed to give our groom a sharp and stylish look.
